The Velocity Tapered Leaderline is 300 m. long and features the taper at EACH END. This allows you to reverse it if you damage the leader your using or reverse it after 6 months or so and get a new leader from the other end. The load deep spools, the trick is as follows:

1) Take 2 EMPTY spools from your reels, tape the end on the leader from the Velocity Leaderline directly to the bottom of the first spool.

2) Now wind on the Leaderline until you come to the end.

3) Now, attach some mono - 12 lb - 15 lb (which is suitable for backing) and continue winding onto your spool until you fill it up to the correct level for casting.

4) Now remove the full spool and replace fit the other empty reel spool and start winding the line BACK onto this spool.

5) Once you get to the join between backing and Leaderline, simply measure the amount of depth still remaining on the spool and make a note for your next spool.

6) Now continue winding the line onto the second spool until you reach the end where you'll find the leader ready to start fishing.

7) Now, for your remaining reels, simply wind on backing up to the same depth (refer to the measurement taken from the first spool) and then attach your Leaderline........now continue to wind and you should have spools filled to the perfect level!
